1 Timothy 3:13 tells us that “Those who do well as deacons will be rewarded with respect from others and will have increased confidence in their faith in Christ Jesus.” This is a great reward for a service to the body that is absolutely essential!

This application will guide you through the process of seeing yourself in light of God’s expectations of character outlined in His Word. After you submit your application, our Senior Leaders will meet with you. At that time, we will either move forward with your appointment, or we will identify areas of growth that must be addressed before appointment can be made. 

It is really important that you understand the reason that God asks us to have these things worked out in ourselves before beginning to step out in leadership. Leadership of any kind will draw more attention from unbelievers and believers alike, therefore it is important that we live a life that points people to Jesus. You will also need to be able to adequately handle the spiritual battles that can sometimes come with leading. The more equipped you are and the more prepared you are in the areas of self-control and character, the easier your journey will be.
